Old Town Auburn: A place you want to hang out

This place is a literal time capsule from the Gold Rush days, and it’s got a perfect mix of historical charm and today’s kick-back-and-chill kind of lifestyle.

Wandering around Old Town Auburn is like stepping into a time machine back to California’s thrilling Gold Rush era. These awesome brick buildings have been around since forever, and the star of the show is the Old Town Auburn Courthouse. But don’t get fooled by the history, Old Town Auburn is bursting with life today! Those old-school buildings are now home to a whole bunch of super cool local stores and boutiques. Now, let’s talk food and drink. Old Town Auburn is a foodie paradise! Start your food adventure at Tap N Vine, Fun Things To Do in Auburn, Californiathese guys are all about craft beers and yummy local dishes. they a great bar area and outdoor patio that looks out at the Placer County Historic Courthouse.  If you’re a beer fan, you’ve got to visit the Auburn Alehouse. They’ve got some seriously good award-winning beers and they brew on site. You will love what they did with their historic building.  Coffee lover? They also have great eats and large selection of local beers on tap with several lovely spaces to hang out. If you’re more into classic American grub, hit up the Club Car Restaurant. got some crazy good inventive rolls. Also, don’t skip the uber-cool patio at The Public Station – trust us, it’s worth it! They have 20 plus beers on tap and their food is so yummy. If you want a place that just does burger and they do them well, don’t miss Local Heroes next to the State Theatre. The burgers and fries ill not disappoint!
