Nevada City is a charming town located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It’s rich with history and culture, which are all reflected in its buildings. One of these buildings that are worth mentioning is the Nevada City First Baptist Church. This church has been around for over 130 years, but it still looks brand new! The church is cozy and inviting. There are pews on both sides of a center aisle with an open balcony above them. The walls have soft blue paint adorned by various pieces of artwork throughout the sanctuary. If you happen to be in Nevada City or close by, this historical building is definitely worth checking out!

Today, I walked by and the sun was shinning and the leaves were falling. Feeling gratitude for last week and looking forward to a new week full of opportunity!

This whole COVID mess forces you to find the blessing. The challenges ahead are here to make us stronger. Even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time.

The good news is we can take our time and focus on what we can control today. We don’t need to know the whole path, just what comes next and how do I handle that.

You have a choice about your response to life’s circumstances! You decide where you focus your attention & energy, on the positives or negatives.

Take a stroll down any street here in Nevada City and breathe in the mountain air. It’s such a blessing to live here in all the beauty.
