I love old bridge in Colfax, CA located at the Mineral Bar Campground.
The weekend is upon us! Weekends for us are a combination of working, chores around the house, and looking for an outdoor adventure with a brewery nearby!
We make it a point to get outside and enjoy all the wonder that is the Sierra Foothills in California!
This is one of the many spots we love to visit because it’s so close to home. We usually take a snack or a fishing pole and head down for a time out!
Mineral Bar Campground offers day use and 16 overnight camping spots all lined up against the American River. It’s an awesome little spot 10 minutes off Interstate 80 at Colfax CA.
Location: Directions: From Hwy 80 in Colfax exit at Canyon Way, head north on Canyon way turn right onto Iowa Hill Rd. 3 mile paved road to sites and river.
There is the original bridge and the newbridge to see all the beauty from. The water is so clear and it’s a great place to get back to center.
You just can’t get that in Sacramento. You can’t. Do you want to go to the local park in the subdivision or do you want to have this for your park? I vote THIS and you have to decide if the Sierra Foothill Living is your thing!
