A Tour of the Historic Placer County Courthouse in Auburn, California

The Historic Placer County Courthouse in Auburn, California is a must-see for history junkies. This courthouse was constructed in 1903 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s a stunning sight!

The courthouse is significant because it represents the Romanesque Revival architecture style, which was popular at the time. The building has beautiful turrets, arches, and a grand entrance. It’s an important part of Placer County’s history and is still in use today.

Visitors are welcome to join a guided tour every Saturday morning at 10:00am sharp, rain or shine, for a free guided tour of Old Town Auburn. The Tour begins at the Courthouse, 101 Maple Street, and lasts about one hour.
